A diary inspired by excerpts from a diary written by my grandmother, Edith Gertrude Kreigh (1886-1977), an American mother with children on both fronts during World War II. Excerpts (in bold print)were written mostly in the spring of 1942, and published here on the same days of the year as original entries, 65 years later. All other texts are by Sue Anne Moody (1947-).

I love this picture of you and the waterfall. Every time I read your stuff I miss you terribly. Hope you've had ample opportunity to write the latest months. We're in the process of deciding whether we'll return to Stockholm this summer to take up living there or if we'll bite on an offer to move to Sydney. I'll write an email soon. Love ya!
